For Terry, a perfume counter is an enchanted place. “Years ago, walking through fragrance counters, I was so intrigued by the smells and bottles,” she says. “It just made me happy!” Terry’s biggest reward is “when they smile after putting a fragrance on,” she says. That’s what she does at Halls: putting smiles on faces after helping people find just the right scent to express themselves. For Terry, fragrance isn’t about following the crowd. She wants her customers to leave her magical part of the store confident that they’re being true to their own style.
